*Neighborhood E-mail Listserv*

The Howell Station Neighborhood Newsgroup is for the posting of ANNOUNCEMENTS pertinent to Howell Station Neighborhood 30318 (and surrounding boroughs) ONLY, not DISCUSSIONS. The Howell Station Listserv is a great way to improve communication and the sense of community we feel in our wonderful neighborhood. (Posts to Listserv are Moderated)

*Posting Messages to the Howell Station Listserv:*

•  The Howell Station Listserv address is: howell-station@googlegroups.com

•  Only members of the Listserv can post a message.

•  Messages sent to this address will go to everyone on the Neighborhood Listserv.

•  Please be specific in the Subject Line.  If a message is for a particular topic please state this in the subject line.  For example "Howell Station- Lost Dog" or "Neighborhood Watch Meeting".

*Guidelines*

•  Use the Howell Station Neighborhood Listserv only for things that pertain
to this Neighborhood.  For example:

   - neighborhood events
   - safety
   - improvements
   - pets
   - meetings
   - crime
   - new neighbors
   - helping neighbors
   - neighborhood business support
   - etc.

➢ Do not use it for e-mails that involve politics, religious, or chain letters messages.

➢ Make sure Subject Line Matches the Post, if you reply to an email to the Listserv about a different topic please change the subject line, not everyone is interested in all matters.

➢ Please be careful not to accidentally choose "Reply All" when replying. Responses should only go to the specified recipient.

➢ There are many people on this Listserv – please be sensitive and respectful with regard to these Guidelines.  People have good intentions but different interpretations are normal for a large group like ours.

➢ Anyone misusing the Listserv will be moderated from it, and their messages will need approval to go out in the future.

➢ You may not harass, abuse or threaten other list members, individuals, or groups.

➢ You must be courteous to other list members. You may disagree with them, but you should continue disagreements off-line. DO NOT resort to personal insults. If you take offense at something, contact the offensive person directly not the group.

➢ You may not post content that is obscene, otherwise objectionable, or in violation of state or federal law.

➢ Do not forward copyrighted material unless you have permission to do so.

➢ Try to keep posts to the list brief. If your post doesn’t add value or is not pertinent to many, don’t send it. Keep personal messages personal.
